The MefContrib 1.1 release brings some enhancements and bug fixes to the existing codebase.

Overview

This release contains a port of MEF for Silverlight that is compatible with Moonlight 2.0 beta

In order to develop Moonlight Mef applications, you need to follow the directions in this post http://mjhutchinson.com/journal/2009/05/08/moonlight_development_linux_monodevelop

Summarized instructions:

1. Download the Moonlight SDK. Here is a recent version: http://mjhutchinson.com/files/temp/MoonSDK-Preview-2009-05-05.zip
2. Extract the SDK to a folder of your choosing e.g. ~/MoonSDK
3. Modify your ~/.bash_profile and add the following line:

export MOONLIGHT_2_SDK_PATH=~/MoonSDK [put the path here where you installed the SDK]

4. Install MonoDevelop from here: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/MJHutchinson/
5. Run MonoDevelop and then create a new Moonlight application.
6. Add references to the System.ComponentModel.Composition.dll and System.ComponentModel.Composition.Initialization.dll in the moonlightmef/bin folder.
